Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who served as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. As a member of the Democratic Party, she previously worked in the Obama administration as the White House deputy press secretary (2009) and the White House deputy communications director (2009-2011) as well as the spokesperson for the United States Department of State (2013-2015) as well as the White House communications director (2015-2017. Psaki worked as an CNN political contributor between 2017 and 2020. Psaki started her professional career in 2001 by working on the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was later appointed as the press secretary's deputy in John Kerry's presidential campaign in 2004. Psaki was also the director of communications for Joseph Crowley (U.S.) and was the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was the press secretary to President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. 20 years ago, Psaki was appointed spokesperson for the United States Department of State in February 2013. [20] The speculations that she was going to replace Jay Carney White House Press secretary after he left the White House[21] were fuelled by her appointment by the Department of State. However, Josh Earnest was announced as the replacement for Carney on May 30th, 2014. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications, and she remained there until the end of Obama's presidency.
